WHY DO YOU NEED THROTTLE RESPONSE CONTROLLER?

Improved Throttle Response

Modern vehicles with drive-by-wire throttle systems have a delay to meet emissions standards and appeal to various driver types. The delay, also known as “throttle lag,” can lead to a frustrating experience for many of us. Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller improves throttle response by removing this delay and allows you to use your Chevrolet Colorado's full potential.

Customizable Driving Modes

The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller offers four driving modes: Eco, City, Sport, and Sport+. Each mode has nine increments, meaning you have 36 adjustments in total to fine-tune your Chevrolet Colorado's throttle sensitivity. Eco mode decreases the throttle response for fuel savings and precise control, City mode bumps it up for agile response, and Sport and Sport+ modes dramatically improve throttle response for quicker acceleration and better hauling characteristics.

Increased Safety

Traffic safety requires quicker acceleration and better agility in some scenarios. An improved throttle response can help you avoid potential hazards and prevent dangerous circumstances. With a better throttle response and quicker acceleration, merging onto highways and quickly reaching the highway speeds or getting away from possible accidents will be much easier, improving your Chevrolet Colorado's active safety, especially while towing heavy loads.

Better Fuel Efficiency

The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller’s Eco mode considerably reduces the throttle sensitivity. This mode offers fuel savings as you may not need an instant response in some conditions. Relaxed drives on highways or stop-and-go traffic do not require instant power delivery, so a reduced throttle response will increase your Chevrolet Colorado's MPG. Eco mode is also perfect for better control when driving your SUV on rugged or slippery surfaces.

Plug-and-Play Installation

Pedal Commander is designed for easy installation with #model}'s OEM Plugs, usually taking just a few minutes without requiring special tools or technical expertise. This convenience allows you to quickly upgrade your vehicle's performance without hassle. Pedal Commander is also Bluetooth-compatible, so you can control the unit using our free Pedal Commander app via your mobile device.

Warranty Stays Intact

The Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller is 50-state emissions legal and certified by FCC, CE, and CARB. It will not void the warranty on your Chevrolet Colorado or leave any traces behind on the ECU.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will the Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller void my vehicle’s manufacturer’s warranty?

+

No, it will not. Pedal Commander is 100% UNTRACEABLE by dealerships because it doesn't leave "flags" on your ECU so dealers cannot detect any changes when they run diagnostics. Before going in for service, just make sure you turn the unit off and tuck it out of sight, or uninstall it completely, and you're good to go!

Does the Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller increase horsepower?

+

Pedal Commander is engineered to improve the throttle response of a vehicle. It improves the feel of a vehicle’s acceleration by modifying the electronic signal sent between the accelerator pedal and the ECU. It does not increase the power output of a vehicle’s engine.

Is the Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller waterproof?

+

It is not waterproof, but it is designed to be water-resistant. The unit is built with a high-quality casing that resists splashes and light rain. However, it’s important to avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or water, as this can damage the internal components of the Pedal Commander. If you need to use the device in wet conditions, it's recommended to cover it with a protective casing or bag to prevent it from getting wet.

Do I need to turn the Pedal Commander off when I am done driving?

+

You do not need to worry about turning the Pedal Commander off manually. The Pedal Commander unit will automatically shut off when the ECU in your vehicle goes to "sleep," which is usually 5 minutes after you shut off the engine. Also, Pedal Commander’s memory function saves your last selected mode and it will automatically turn on with that mode selected when you next start your vehicle.

Can I change driving modes while I’m driving?

+

We recommend changing the unit's modes ( Eco, City, Sport, or Sport+) while your foot is off the accelerator or while cruise control is disengaged. This will prevent any CEL or EPC lights from coming on and putting your vehicle into limp mode. Each mode has different signal strengths, so we say this as a preventative measure.
